Tinted Moisturizers

The past few weeks I have been into using tinted moisturizers as a base instead of a heavier foundation. My skin has been fairly decent (minus a few breakouts) so I have been enjoying using something more fresh and light on my skin. I thought that I would share the two that I have been using, and loving!

Pixi H2O Skintint is a tinted face gel. The back writes:

“Cooling & hydrating. Sheer tinted water-based gel. Apply as you would a moisturizer & pat into skin.”

Disappointing Product | REN

Hello friends!

I hope you are all having a wonderful day/week! Today I wanted to write a quick post on a product I purchased ages ago, tested out for about three weeks and ultimately, gave up on. I have been holding on to it, trying to write this review before I got rid of it. Finally, here we are! I want to start off by saying that I have loved every REN product that I have tried. They make one of my very favourite facial serums. I had high hopes for this one but unfortunately, I was left pretty disappointed in the end. The product I’m talking about is called the Keep Young and Beautiful Instant Firming Beauty Shot.

Stila | 2 Gift Sets

Hi everyone!

A few days ago I was out at Shoppers Drug Mart, looking for a new facial toner. While at the counter to pay I noticed these two Stila gift sets sitting there…staring at me. I couldn’t just leave them there, they were so cute and all alone. I knew I could give them a good home.

Now, I have never owned a liquid lipstick made by Stila because I have not been able to decide on which shade to choose. I prefer nudes for everyday wear and Stila seems to have quite a wide variety! The first set that caught my eye was the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick and Glitterati Lip Top Coat…phew, that’s quite the name! This set contains 5 mini lipsticks plus a glitter topcoat (multi-colour sparkle). The shades included are Baci (nude pink), Rubino (beet red), Fresco (mid tone dusty rose), Patina (dusty rose) and Bacca (raspberry). The reason this one caught my eye was because it contained a few of the shades that I had been trying to decide between. Now I don’t have to decide! Yippie! Here are some (sloppy) swatches for you: keep reading…

Product Thoughts | Sephora Favourties Items & More – Part 3

Hello!! Is anyone still there!!?? I just looked and it has been 5 months since my last post! Sheesh!! School started for me last September and although I knew it would be challenging, I have been blown away by how insane and intense this program is. Today though, I had my very first skills test, which involved doing a couple of the skills we have learned so far on a pretend patient in the simulation lab at our college. We didn’t know which skills we would have to perform until we started our test so I was really nervous. I get terrified when I have to “perform” in front of someone while they critique me. But good news, I did PERFECT!! All those days and hours of studying and practicing sure paid off today! So, since tonight I have zero homework, I thought I would write the post I have been trying to write for almost 5 months now. We’re going to talk about a few products (mostly deluxe size samples) that I have received through various Sephora Favourties boxes and such. I still have a zillion more to try out but these are the ones I have tried so far: keep reading…

Sephora Haul

Hey there!

So almost any beauty product lover would know that the Jaclyn Hill x Becca collaboration had released at Sephora. Being the palette junkie that I am, I thought that there was no doubt in my mind those palettes would be mine. But, for some reason when I was looking on the Sephora site the palettes just didn’t jump at me. For the first time ever, I felt like I didn’t need to buy a palette that I had been excited about. It was weird… So anyway, this collection was the reason for this bit of shopping. As I began to look around I grabbed a few other items I had been interested in. Let’s take a peek!
