Stila | 2 Gift Sets

Hi everyone!

A few days ago I was out at Shoppers Drug Mart, looking for a new facial toner. While at the counter to pay I noticed these two Stila gift sets sitting there…staring at me. I couldn’t just leave them there, they were so cute and all alone. I knew I could give them a good home.

Now, I have never owned a liquid lipstick made by Stila because I have not been able to decide on which shade to choose. I prefer nudes for everyday wear and Stila seems to have quite a wide variety! The first set that caught my eye was the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick and Glitterati Lip Top Coat…phew, that’s quite the name! This set contains 5 mini lipsticks plus a glitter topcoat (multi-colour sparkle). The shades included are Baci (nude pink), Rubino (beet red), Fresco (mid tone dusty rose), Patina (dusty rose) and Bacca (raspberry). The reason this one caught my eye was because it contained a few of the shades that I had been trying to decide between. Now I don’t have to decide! Yippie! Here are some (sloppy) swatches for you: keep reading…

Product Thoughts | Sephora Favourties Items & More – Part 3

Hello!! Is anyone still there!!?? I just looked and it has been 5 months since my last post! Sheesh!! School started for me last September and although I knew it would be challenging, I have been blown away by how insane and intense this program is. Today though, I had my very first skills test, which involved doing a couple of the skills we have learned so far on a pretend patient in the simulation lab at our college. We didn’t know which skills we would have to perform until we started our test so I was really nervous. I get terrified when I have to “perform” in front of someone while they critique me. But good news, I did PERFECT!! All those days and hours of studying and practicing sure paid off today! So, since tonight I have zero homework, I thought I would write the post I have been trying to write for almost 5 months now. We’re going to talk about a few products (mostly deluxe size samples) that I have received through various Sephora Favourties boxes and such. I still have a zillion more to try out but these are the ones I have tried so far: keep reading…

Sephora Haul

Hey there!

So almost any beauty product lover would know that the Jaclyn Hill x Becca collaboration had released at Sephora. Being the palette junkie that I am, I thought that there was no doubt in my mind those palettes would be mine. But, for some reason when I was looking on the Sephora site the palettes just didn’t jump at me. For the first time ever, I felt like I didn’t need to buy a palette that I had been excited about. It was weird… So anyway, this collection was the reason for this bit of shopping. As I began to look around I grabbed a few other items I had been interested in. Let’s take a peek!

5 Affordable & Awesome ProductsΒ

Hello!

Today I wanted to share with you some of my favourite affordable beauty products. I know full well that makeup and skin care can be budget crushing sometimes when you look to high end products. But the good news is that there are plenty of gems in the isles of the drugstores. I thought I would start a little series where every so often I’ll do a post of five of my personal favourite, budget friendly products. These aren’t my “absolute top five picks” but they are all products that I have loved, would repurchase and would recommend to anyone. So let’s get started with todays five!

Nails ~ Essie w/ Jamberry

Oh, hey there! It’s been a hot minute since my last post! Life these days has been busy, to say the least. Between my hubby working out of town for weeks at a time, kids and their extracurricular activities, the class I’m taking for college, camp on the weekends (with no wifi) and just life in general, blogging has taken a back seat. I miss it though so I’m going to make a major effort to fit it all in.

Today’s post is a quick one, as I have loads of studying to do (boooo!). I recently placed an order for nail wraps from a company called Jamberry. My friend had a party through Facebook and they looked interesting so I gave them a go. I have never tried a nail wrap but I figured now was the time! My order came in and with it was a couple of samples for accent nails. I decided to start with one of those for my first time applying one, so I didn’t ruin a set that I paid for if I applied it wrong.Β  keep reading…

Sephora VIB Sale Splurge

Hello!

So, the Sephora VIB sale happened a bit ago and I tried sooooΒ hard to ignore it. I had put myself on an extremely low-buy budget when it comes to beauty products and since I started in January, I can honestly say I’ve been behaving. Until this sale….

I had managed to stay away from the website until the night before the sale was over. I was lying in bed and I couldn’t sleep so I turned on my phone, went to the Sephora app and started “looking”. Before I knew it, my cart was full and I was checking out. Oopsie!!Β Wanna see what I got!? Here it is! keep reading…

Product Thoughts | Sephora Favourites Items & More – Part 2

Hello everyone! I hope you’re all fabulous today! I’m so happy because today the sun is shining and the snow is melting! It’s finally starting to feel like spring and that makes me a happy girl. I posted (here) awhile ago a few little reviews of some of the items I had received from some Sephora Favourite’s sets. I love those little bundles, the are a great way to try out some great items without having to splurge on a full size right away. Today I’m back with another similar post. I have more items from these sets that I have been using and a few extra deluxe size samples of products that are almost used up. I thought I would include these before I finish them up and throw them out. There are a lot of items this time so let’s get into it! keep reading…
