Two Current Favourite Highlighters

Hello!

Today I wanted to share a quick post about two highlighters that have been rocking my world lately. Highlighting is something that I have just really gotten into the last year, or so. I prefer my highlighter to be more subtle or natural looking and I have found two that are sooo dreamy.

First is the YSL Touché Éclat Lumiere Devine. The back of the packaging states that it is a highlighting finishing powder. I use this as a cheekbone highlighter and on my fair skin, keep reading…

Kat Von D | Alchemist Holographic Palette

Hello friends! I hope you are all having a wonderful week, so far! A few days ago I received my online order from Sephora. One of the items I ordered is the Kat Von D Alchemist Holographic Palette, which is completely out of my makeup comfort zone. It had been out-of-stock on Sephora.ca for quite awhile and I suppose at some point, I signed up for an email to inform me when it was re-stocked. I got the email and decided to just go for it! There’s something about it that caught my attention. I’m normally attracted to more natural makeup shades but lately, the colours have been calling to me.

Tinted Moisturizers

Hello!

The past few weeks I have been into using tinted moisturizers as a base instead of a heavier foundation. My skin has been fairly decent (minus a few breakouts) so I have been enjoying using something more fresh and light on my skin. I thought that I would share the two that I have been using, and loving!

Pixi H2O Skintint is a tinted face gel. The back writes:

“Cooling & hydrating. Sheer tinted water-based gel. Apply as you would a moisturizer & pat into skin.”

Product Thoughts | Sephora Favourties Items & More – Part 3

Hello!! Is anyone still there!!?? I just looked and it has been 5 months since my last post! Sheesh!! School started for me last September and although I knew it would be challenging, I have been blown away by how insane and intense this program is. Today though, I had my very first skills test, which involved doing a couple of the skills we have learned so far on a pretend patient in the simulation lab at our college. We didn’t know which skills we would have to perform until we started our test so I was really nervous. I get terrified when I have to “perform” in front of someone while they critique me. But good news, I did PERFECT!! All those days and hours of studying and practicing sure paid off today! So, since tonight I have zero homework, I thought I would write the post I have been trying to write for almost 5 months now. We’re going to talk about a few products (mostly deluxe size samples) that I have received through various Sephora Favourties boxes and such. I still have a zillion more to try out but these are the ones I have tried so far: keep reading…

5 Affordable & Awesome Products

Hello!

Today I wanted to share with you some of my favourite affordable beauty products. I know full well that makeup and skin care can be budget crushing sometimes when you look to high end products. But the good news is that there are plenty of gems in the isles of the drugstores. I thought I would start a little series where every so often I’ll do a post of five of my personal favourite, budget friendly products. These aren’t my “absolute top five picks” but they are all products that I have loved, would repurchase and would recommend to anyone. So let’s get started with todays five!

Sephora VIB Sale Splurge

Hello!

So, the Sephora VIB sale happened a bit ago and I tried soooo hard to ignore it. I had put myself on an extremely low-buy budget when it comes to beauty products and since I started in January, I can honestly say I’ve been behaving. Until this sale….

I had managed to stay away from the website until the night before the sale was over. I was lying in bed and I couldn’t sleep so I turned on my phone, went to the Sephora app and started “looking”. Before I knew it, my cart was full and I was checking out. Oopsie!! Wanna see what I got!? Here it is! keep reading…
